Pevensey Parish fruit trees

 

Five fruit trees were planted by Incredible Edible Pevensey & Westham on land owned by Pevensey Parish council, in the shadow of Pevensey Castle (on the south side of the castle moat) on March 1st 2015. They were the first fruit trees ever planted by our group, which worked closely with Pevensey Parish Council in developing the project. The trees - 3 apple trees and 2 plum trees - were all sponsored by local residents and local businesses. All the trees were disease resistant varieties, and one apple tree was an Eastbourne Pippin especially grown for the project.
